The initial meeting & development of design brief

This is the first part of our design process, for which there is no charge. In this meeting you tell us your requirements and what you would like for your garden or outdoor space.  We explain how we work, take basic measurements of the garden, and discuss with you the potential budget for the project.

Design brief

A design brief will then be emailed to you, summarising our meeting, and outlining potential look, feel and layout, together with sample images as well as a guide to timescales and costs. At this stage we will ask you to complete our design checklist. We will then provide you with a quotation for design - payable should you want to proceed.

Site Survey

Then we come back to measure up garden in more detail – noting soil type, aspect, plants/features to be retained or removed. We will document any issues that may affect the work and will take photos of the site.

Initial Presentation

This will be a detailed first draft of our design which will include 3-D views, a bird’s eye view with dimensions, and a mood board of proposed materials and plants.

Second consultation

We will then have second consultation to discuss the design, at which point we can provide physical samples of the proposed materials. Thereafter, any amendments to the plan will be made to produce a final design.

Final Design

Once the final design is agreed we will provide you with a 2D colour masterplan, drawn to scale. This will include information about materials to be used and their sizes as well as basic lighting and planting plans.

Please note that the level of specification included in the Final Design will include sufficient information for us to carry out the build of your garden.

Specification & costs

Once the final plan is agreed and all amendments are made, we are able to put together itemised costings for the construction of your garden.

Fees & Payment

We determine the fees for the design process after the initial meeting as each garden has unique requirements and we tailor our fees to meet these.

From Start to Finish

We think the most exciting part of the design and build process is seeing the garden finally being built. With many years of experience building gardens in London we are able to carry out the construction of your design too.

The aim is to agree a detailed plan before commencing construction to ensure that timings and costs are managed for you.

Our in-house team will carry out the works, with all projects run by one of our experienced team foreman.
